Name: Ofelia Cruz Age: 17 Gender: Female Birthday: 18th June, 1991 Year: Sixth Year House: Glowers House
Hometown: Ofelia comes from a small village a few miles from Malaga in Spain.
Description:
Ofelia was a quick developer; long before her friends had she’d already obtained a woman’s body. Something, which at the time had knocked her confidence as she had been, teased a lot. Ofelia reaches 5ft 6 about average height for a female, she has golden tanned skin from being out in the sun a lot.
Ofelia is the splitting image of her mother; she has the same long brown locks, which falls in loose natural curls around her face. She has large brown eyes and thin eyebrows that emphasise her every emotion. Her lips are plump and are usually turned up in a smile. Coming from a poor family she doesn’t own any Jewry or anything extravagant like that. Her wardrobe is also very limited and not really suited for this climate. She’s usually seen in a summer dress of some sort with a cardigan pulled close to her.
Personality:
Ofelia is a warm person, always ready to help someone in need; this is probably because of her background. Living in a small village she was used to taking care of others as others took care of her. However She is very proud and finds it difficult to accept people’s help and much prefers to find a solution her own way. Headstrong I guess you could call her!
She is very independent preferring to do things alone; she’s never had anyone to rely on before so why start now? Ofelia has never been to a proper school before, she used to trek two miles to a small schoolroom every day and back again for three hours in the early morning before the day became too hot. She doesn’t take things like education for granted, however she is extremely overwhelmed by the people at the school and what the school offers.
History:
Ofelia was born in a small village near Malaga on the Spanish coast; she lived in a four-roomed house Kitchen, Living room, and two bedrooms. She is the oldest of three sisters and two brothers and shared a bedroom with them all, in the summer it could be unbearable but she wouldn’t change it for anything cause she adores them all.
Ofelia’s family survived off their land, they where one of the lucky family’s that owned a small acre in which they farmed crops and sold to larger company’s for a little money. Ofelia helped on the land as well as spending her days looking after her younger brothers and sisters and teaching the younger ones what she had learnt at school as most of them where not up to travelling the long distances.
Ofelia found she was especially talented at languages and even more so sports, maybe it was the long walk to and from school or working in the sun on the crops but it made her endurance incredibly strong. Often when the work was done in the evenings she would take a towel and go down to the beach, diving deep into its depths and discovering all sorts of sea life.
As Ofelia hit her 16th birthday her mother fell ill and slowly the youngest of her family also fell ill. There wasn’t much she and her father could do, they couldn’t afford the medicine they needed and the Herbal cures that Ofelia concocted did nothing for the illness they seemed to have. After months of watching her mother and younger siblings deteriorate they died leaving only her, her father, brother and sister left.
Her brother left to go to Madrid looking for a job that paid better so he could send money back to them. Ofelia had begged her brother not to go, not to leave them alone she couldn’t manage the farm alone but he left her anyway. She could understand why he wanted to leave; there was nothing for them here as they scraped to survive.
Her father decided it was time for drastic measures; he needed to save his family before they all ended up staving to death. He married Marie off to a Man who owned a small shop in Malaga. Ofelia had never been more scared or alone in her life and wondered what laid in store for her. She missed her brothers and sisters so much and often cried for them.
Every year in Malaga there was a triathlon a competition that involved swimming round a mile of coastal water, running through Malaga and climbing a small cliff near Malaga. The competition was tough but the prize was 1000 Euros. Ofelia desperately needed the money and she was old enough at 17 to enter. She managed to raise the 20 euros needed to enter by working on farms for family’s, which also helped her stamina.
The day of the race arrived and she found herself lining up with other contestants, many of which where older than her and had competed many times before. Ofelia swam and ran as fast as she could the sun draining her energy, somehow she won that race, it was a close call but she won. She had 1000 euros to start a new life. It was then she was approached by an man who offered her a place at a school in England for talented people. She wasn’t going to surpass the chance and quickly agreed to going.
She used the money she won to buy the equipment she needed and a ticket to England. She still had a bit of the money she had won but she knew it wouldn’t be enough and luckily the school had offered her a scheme in which she received a bit of money per month to live off.

Roleplay sample:
The night was growing fast the darkness came like a black shadow over the forest, any sensible living creature had scurried into a burrow blocking out the horrors that the night brought. A still wind swept through the forest licking the trees with its icy fingers making them draw back in fear, this was the time for the dead, no living thing dared step foot out of its home. A flash of red could be seen drifting through the trees a trail of the finest satin skimmed the crisp cold leaves, and the softest of footsteps could be heard from the sharpest of ears.
Lady Teal turned her piercing marble stone eyes upon the half moon, which lit the forest dimly casting everything in a silver shadow. She parted her rouged lips in a soft smile “The moon brings treachery” she muttered to herself her eyes sparkling “Treachery, betrayal and the end of a era.” She whispered no expression crossed her ivory face only a slight curl on her lips was the most expression she showed.
The wind toyed with her hair, running its fingers through her long fiery locks stroking her dress softly whispering to her, she turned her head slightly to listen, someone was approaching, her eyes sparkled with excitement, as she rested them upon a figure in the darkness.
She moved slowly watching the figure with interest; the soft red satin train slithered deftly over the forest floor as she walked. The figure to the normal eye appeared to be a human; a male, in his late 20’s but Teal could sense something else, a strange magicks about him she watched, listened she could hear his breath rise and fall in unison with his chest, breath. Something, which fascinated her, what came with breath? The ability to feel? To love? To be able to taste the finest of foods? How her heart longed for these things, yearned to be a part of the day, but she wasn’t. She was a creature of the night and had learnt to accept it along time ago…
